On May 24–25, visitors of all ages enjoyed a two-day event dedicated to the environment and recycling at the Mall of Cyprus. The event, titled “Greener Together,” was co-organized by the Mall of Cyprus, Green Dot, AFIS, and MediCycle.
Its goal was to inform and raise public awareness about recycling while promoting environmental consciousness through interactive games and fun giveaways for all ages.
Visitors learned about Green Dot’s recycling programs for PMD packaging, paper, and glass, as well as proper sorting and disposal techniques. Presentations also covered the benefits of battery recycling via AFIS bins, and the dangers of improper disposal in regular trash or the environment.
Special emphasis was placed on the environmental management of pharmaceuticals through the new MediCycle system, which has begun installing dedicated bins in selected pharmacies across Cyprus.
The public response exceeded expectations, filling the venue with smiles, creativity, and optimism.
